“Costituzione economica”, sistema finanziario e tutela del risparmio in Portogallo: dalla “tentazione” socialista alla progressiva attrazione nell’Europa comunitaria

This article provides a brief overview of “economic Constitution”, financial system and the constitutional and legislative rules on savings in Portugal. Particularly, the Author analyses interpretative uncertainties of art. 101 Const. (that contains an explicit reference on savings) and the recent normative measures to face the financial crisis. From the general analysis appears the incisive State intervention in economy (joined to history of Portuguese constitutionalism and to original, main features of Constitution in force), but emerges also the progressive conditioning of the rules of European Union, especially in subject of economic organisation and savings.[...
